Bridgeview House

This home needed to work hard. A family with young children wanted a Hamptons style look that felt elegant without being precious, somewhere the garden could be a child's paradise and the kitchen could still hold a crowd around the island on a Friday night.

The brief called for spaces that were beautiful but resilient, a kitchen, mudroom and laundry that could be lived in properly, cleaned easily, and would still feel right in ten years. Custom joinery throughout brought a quiet consistency to the home, while a deep blue used sparingly in the bar cabinet and bookshelf gave the rooms a sense of personality without overwhelming the calm, considered palette around it.

The result is a home that looks composed in photographs and still feels completely livable day to day, which was always the point.
