Terms of service
Last updated: 15.08.2026
These terms apply to anyone who purchases a digital product from The Room Assembly (TRA, "we," "us," "our"), operated by Victoria Hardy (ABN 35 564 085 683), via theroomassembly.com. By purchasing, you agree to these terms.
1. What you're buying TRA products are digital, downloadable interior design guides. Each product contains general design guidance, curated product recommendations, and styling direction for a specific room and style. They are general guidance only. They are not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed interior designer, a trade professional, or advice on structural, electrical, plumbing or building compliance matters specific to your home. You are responsible for confirming any measurements, structural considerations, and trade requirements before making changes to your home.
2. Founding member offer The first 20 customers who purchase under the Founding Member offer receive First Light for $250 (public price $500). Founding Members also receive early access to every future TRA release ahead of public launch, for as long as Founding Member status applies, and 50% off the public price of any future First Light edition (for example, a future First Light master bedroom, entryway or dining room, as each is released), for as long as they continue building out their home in the First Light style. This is a percentage discount, not a fixed dollar amount, so it applies to whatever the public price is at the time each new First Light edition is released.
Still Life and Ember, the next two Living Room styles, are a different aesthetic to First Light and are not included in Founding Member pricing. Founding Members do get early access to them ahead of public release, at the standard public price.
This offer may be sent to more than 20 people. The limit is on the number of Founding Member purchases, not the number of people who receive the offer, so this section should be read as first come, first served up to 20 sales.
3. Price and payment All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are processed securely through Shopify. We reserve the right to change prices for future customers at any time; the price you paid at checkout is the price that applies to your purchase.
4. Access and delivery Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a downloadable PDF of your product. Each copy is personalised with your name and email address, watermarked on every page. You agree not to remove, obscure or alter this watermark, and access is provided to you personally for your own household's use, not to be shared, resold, or redistributed in any form; each copy is uniquely identifiable to your purchase.
You will have ongoing access to your purchased edition as we update and improve it over time, at no extra cost. If we ever fully discontinue an edition rather than simply update it, we will either continue providing access to its most recent version or give you reasonable notice before it's removed.
5. Intellectual property All content, design methodology, layouts, written material, and the TRA name and branding are owned by Victoria Hardy trading as The Room Assembly. "The Room Assembly" is the subject of a pending trademark application. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the contents of any TRA product, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
6. Refunds See our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Third party products and suppliers Products featured and linked within TRA guides are sold by third party suppliers, including but not limited to Jardan, GlobeWest, Horgans, Armadillo, Lighting Collective and Nook Collections. Purchases of those products are made directly with the supplier and are subject to that supplier's own pricing, availability, stock, lead times and terms, which are outside our control and may change after a guide is published. We are not responsible for supplier pricing, availability, shipping, or product quality. Where a product carries an extended lead time, for example made to order furniture or lighting, this will be noted where we're aware of it, but you should always confirm current lead times directly with the supplier before purchasing.
8. Limitation of liability To the extent permitted by law, The Room Assembly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our products, including decisions made about your home based on our guidance. Our total liability in connection with any product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
9. Changes to these terms We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
10. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
