What do I receive when I buy?
You receive First Light, my Coastal Neutral living room guide, as a personalised PDF. It includes the Concept, the Room Foundation (layout options, scale, proportion, balance and zoning), a Roomboard, and a full Selections List with a shop link and dimensions for every piece. That covers furniture, lighting, textiles, styling pieces and paint colours, plus guidance on when bespoke joinery is worth it. The full list of what's included is on the product page. Your name and email appear on every page.

How and when do I get access?
Once your payment is confirmed, your guide is emailed to the address you used at checkout, usually within a few minutes. If nothing arrives after 30 minutes, check your spam or junk folder, then email hello@roomassembly.com and I'll resend it. The guide is for your household's use. Please don't share or resell it. If I update the guide, you'll receive the updated version at no extra cost.

What does the guide cover, and what doesn't it cover?
Each guide covers one room in one style. First Light is a living room in a Coastal Neutral style. It shows you how I put a room together and gives you a complete set of choices to follow. The layout options are drawn for a living room of about 6 by 4.5 metres. If your room is a different size, the principles still apply, but you'll need to adapt the layout. It does not include a measured plan of your own home, advice on structural, electrical, plumbing or building compliance matters, or any trade work. It also doesn't include the products themselves. You buy those directly from each supplier.

Can I customise it, and how does that compare with your bespoke service?
Yes. The guide is a framework, not a formula. You don't need to buy everything new. Keep the pieces you already love and use the guide to make everything work together. What the guide can't do is tailor a design to your floor plan, measurements or brief. That is what my bespoke interior design service does, for homes across Sydney. Think of them as a spectrum. The guide gives you a finished design to follow. Bespoke gives you a design made for your home.

What happens if a recommended product is discontinued or out of stock?
Each product is sold by its supplier, and stock, pricing and lead times can change after a guide is published. Where I know a piece is made to order, I note it. Always confirm current availability and lead times with the supplier before you buy. If a piece is no longer available, email me at hello@roomassembly.com and I'll suggest a suitable alternative.

Do I need a designer to use it?
No. The guide is built so you can put the room together yourself. You will still need the right trades for any building, electrical or plumbing work, and it is not a substitute for a consultation if you want advice specific to your home.

Are you adding more guides?
First Light is the only guide available right now. I'm working on two more living room styles, Still Life and Ember, with other rooms to follow. I'll share them when they're ready.

Can I use it outside Australia?
The guide is written for Australian homes, and every product link goes to an Australian supplier. You can read and use it anywhere, but some suppliers may not deliver overseas, so check delivery before you buy. All prices are in Australian dollars.

What's your refund policy?
Because guides are digital and access is immediate, I don't offer refunds for change of mind once a guide has been accessed or downloaded. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected. If the guide can't be delivered, is faulty, or is significantly different from how it was described, you're entitled to a remedy. If you accidentally buy the same guide twice, send me both order numbers and I'll refund the duplicate. Where you can, contact me within 14 days of purchase with your order number and a description of the issue, and I'll reply within 7 business days.

How do I contact you if something's wrong?
Email hello@roomassembly.com with your order number and what's happened. I read every email myself and reply within 7 business days.
